The publication Tesařské konstrukce (Carpentry Construction) by authors Ing. Lubomír Jelínek and Ing. Petr Červený is intended for designers, students and technicians in the production of load-bearing wooden structures, construction companies, teachers, university students and other members of the professional public. It has received approval from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, thanks to which it is included in the list of textbooks for secondary education in the field of wooden structures – construction and technological preparation.
Because production of wooden structures is a dynamically developing field in which new technologies are being rapidly introduced, it was definitely necessary to mention chemical preventive impregnation of wood against biotic pests in the textbook.
