Coatings and finishes
Penetrative, hydrophobic, synthetic-oil based coating for decorative purposes and to protect wood against UV radiation and water infiltration. Penetrates deep into the wood structure, highlights the wood’s pattern and provides it with the desired hue. Gives wood a matt surface that can be easily renewed without having to remove the original coat.
Suitable as a finish to be applied after impregnating exterior wood against wood-destroying fungi and insects (use class 3).

TOTAL WOOD PROTECTION SYSTEM

STEP 1
Long-term preservation against mould, wood-decaying fungi and insects.
To PROTECT WOOD from infestation from wood-decaying fungi or insects, treat wood with any of the biocide impregnating agents from the Bochemit range (transparent products) before applying Bochemit Estetik.
STEP 2
Decorative coatings and finishes for indoor and outdoor timber.
Do not apply Bochemit Estetik coating until the fungicide impregnating agent has dried completely. Drying time is dependent on air temperature and humidity and usually takes from 4 to 24 hours. Following these 2 steps provides wood with perfect protection.

PROPERTIES OF TREATED WOOD
We recommend applying a test coat before applying the definitive coating. The product produces a crack-free, peel-free matt surface that brings out the wood grain. Colour, substrate type, quality of pre-treatment work and number of coatings can all impact on the resulting hue.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Mix well before use! The product is undiluted. Use a brush or roller to apply Bochemit Estetik to clean, dry, well-sanded and resin-free timber, always making sure to apply the product in the direction of the wood fibres. One or two layers of paint should be applied to indoor timber, whereas two or three layers should be used for outdoor timber. The exact number of layers applied will depend on the absorbance properties of the substrate. Six to sixteen hours should be left between coats. Treated wood will be dry to the touch after six hours and completely dry after 24 hours. Apply in dry weather at optimal temperatures of +10°C to +23°C. Sand down wood lightly if using renovation paint. Remove as much paint from work tools as possible before cleaning and then wash with degreasing agents.
