We Have Been Helping to Protect the Cultural Heritage of the Czech Republic for 9 Years

The restoration of historic buildings is a long-term endeavor that combines the expertise of specialists, traditional craftsmanship, and modern approaches to the preservation of building materials. Sharing information and drawing inspiration from specific projects across the Czech Republic also plays a major role in the preservation of historic sites and buildings.

That is why we greatly value our ongoing partnership with the Institute for Monuments and Culture, the operator of the PROPAMÁTKY (“FOR MONUMENTS”) portal, with whom we will continue to partner in 2026. Our partnership has lasted nine years, and during that time we have had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of projects focused on the preservation of historic wooden structures.

The PROPAMÁTKY portal has long served as a bridge connecting historic property owners, experts, craftsmen, and cultural heritage enthusiasts. It provides information on the restoration of historic buildings, highlights interesting projects, and fosters discussion on high-quality heritage preservation. Moreover, the organization’s impact extends beyond the field of heritage preservation itself—as a social enterprise, it creates job opportunities for people with disabilities.

This year, we will once again be supporting projects focused on the preservation and restoration of historic buildings through Bochemit products. Wood has been an integral part of Czech architecture for centuries, and its proper preservation is important not only for the longevity of structures but also for maintaining the authenticity of historic buildings.

Throughout the year, we will gradually showcase other interesting projects in which Bochemit products were used in the restoration of historic monuments and traditional buildings.
